Muscle is a tissue that swells,

The theme of the exhibition revolves around the athletic body and is primarily inspired by the venue itself—a sports club with a history as a former hot-air balloon factory. Most of the works were created specifically for this event and offer a quirky, subversive take on muscle worship, delivering an exuberant interpretation that draws from post-internet, pop, queer, and sometimes fetish aesthetics.

Latex-clad bodybuilders, colorful body hypertrophy, eccentric characters, and a gym made of party balloons—these works showcase absurd and deliberately clumsy perspectives to humorously highlight our obsession with the perfect body. At the center of the exhibition space, a ball pit acts as a playful synthesis of these visions. Interpreted as the childhood version of a boxing ring, the installation playfully and pop-culturally reflects on the ideas of combat and muscular perfection.

The exhibition features photography, digital imagery, artificial intelligence, and installation art. It takes place alongside the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
